Hello, today I decided to bring out to play my only non-Tarot deck, the Blue Owl Lenormand. I am a wee novice with the Lenormand decks, I only have this one and I haven’t read with it before. I carried the deck around during the day to get a feel for it and decided to try a spread when I got home. I like coming up with my own spreads in general, so I did my own with this first read. Again, I don’t even now how to formulate the questions for this type of deck so I am not sure if I did it correctly. I did a 5-card spread as follows:
What did I learn about myself this past week? What did I learn from my family this past week? What did I learn from the situation (specific one) this past week? What do I need to let go of as the week ends and a new one begins? What do I need to guard myself from this coming week?
I must say, regardless of whether I did it correctly or not I got a real good vibe from the deck. It was refreshing and simple. What I got was (in my own words): starry night sky, white lilies, gated house, sun, man riding on horse.
This past week was turbulent and a bit chaotic, this reminded me to keep my cool, conserve and redistribute my energy and to remember what is most important. The final card is a bit puzzling for me so I will just have to see how this week plays out and then look back to this spread.
Overall, I really loved using the deck and I will be spending more time with it and getting to know the cards.
This is a short post, just wanted to briefly share my thoughts on today’s read.
